Men's watch plaid shirt turns into a SKIRT.
Lay the shirt on a surface and cut off the sleeves and the top of the shirt including the collar. Turn the shirt inside out. Try it on and start pinning in darts and seams as you create the fit you want on your body. Install the alterations and finish the waist with a vintage slip sewn in like lining. Using the original curved hem line of the shirt makes this easy peasy.
The shirt buttons now serve as the opening for your skirt. The pocket is in the perfect location. I think pockets are the bees knees. I install pockets on the inside of all my clothes. Sometimes I let them show.
Email me if you have any questions.
